PMI's new ECO took effect on 9 July 2026. People fell from 42% to 33%, Process from 50% to 41%, and Business Environment more than tripled — bringing AI in project delivery, sustainability and measurable business value into scope. Most study material still reflects the old weighting.
Very little of it is recall. Most questions describe a situation and offer four defensible-sounding actions, and the mark goes to the one a project manager would take next — usually analyse before acting, go to the plan before the sponsor, and never skip integrated change control. The explanations here name which principle separates the right answer from the plausible ones.
